Our Service

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people at risk? Extern’s Janus Justice Programme is a specialist intervention service supporting young people aged 12-24 in Limerick who are involved in offending behaviour and face complex challenges such as addiction, homelessness, and mental health difficulties.

As a Project Worker, you will provide intensive one-to-one support to young people at high risk of entering custody, escalating offending, or disengaging from other intervention services. Through tailored interventions, you will help address the underlying risk factors contributing to offending behaviours while promoting positive life choices, community involvement, and family relationships.

Extern is recruiting additional Project Workers as part of the expansion of our Extern Outreach Support Service (EOSS), delivered in partnership with the HSE’s Disability Services.

EOSS supports individuals with disabilities or autism who may face challenges integrating into traditional social, educational, or community systems. Rooted in the HSE’s New Directions Principles, our approach prioritizes person-centred support, community inclusion, and active citizenship.

As a Project Worker, you will work directly with individuals to identify areas of personal growth and development, helping them set and achieve meaningful goals. Through tailored support and engagement, you will empower individuals to build confidence, develop life skills, and participate more fully in their communities.
