Welcome to Extern, a social justice charity spanning the island of Ireland.

With an expansive footprint that includes over 80 individual projects, we are strategically positioned in more than 40 locations, reaching out across 27 counties.

At the core of Extern's ethos is an unwavering commitment to diversity and accessibility. We believe in breaking down barriers and ensuring that help is available to those who need it most.

Many of our projects welcome self-referrals, empowering individuals to take charge of their well-being and seek the support they need directly.

Our wide-ranging initiatives address various societal challenges, from supporting vulnerable children and young people to aiding families and communities in crisis. By working closely with local partners and funders, we tailor our services to meet the unique needs of each community we serve.
