Our Traveller Primary Health & Social Care Project led by dedicated members of the Traveller Community, hosts frequent meetings and events focused on advancing vital healthcare initiatives.

In addition to promoting practical health measures, our efforts prioritise crucial areas such as mental health awareness. We conduct informative home visits and awareness sessions to address these critical issues.

Recognising the intrinsic rights of Travellers to equitable healthcare, our project emphasises the importance of tailored services that respect their unique cultural needs and lifestyle.

We strive to ensure appropriate access to healthcare services, aligning with and respecting the distinct needs, culture, and way of life of the Traveller Community.

Testimonials

Embracing Confidence and Community with Extern's Support

Extern has helped me to interact more with other members of the Traveller community and to connect with services. I now feel more comfortable going into public places such as cafes, libraries and resource centres – those are places where I would have felt judged before because of my Traveller background.

Extern has helped me build my self-confidence and motivation levels. I had no structure or routine before, but I now enjoy going to the groups. It has also made me understand and respect my heritage more, and helped me to interact with more people from the Traveller community.
