Our Services
Family Support and Suicide Prevention
The Family Support and Suicide Prevention Response Project works across the Greater Shankill area supporting people after a loss to suicide.
Providing support to those bereaved by suicide is key to helping them to cope and recover – survivors often express a strong sense of isolation and feeling alone at a time when they are hurting and vulnerable.
As the lead in managing the local Community Response Plan, our project responds promptly to the needs of bereaved families and the community in the aftermath of such tragedies.
Our initiative offers a diverse array of accredited and tailored training, raising awareness and fostering skills across the local community.
These include ASIST, SAFE TALK, Top Tips and customised sessions covering grief and healing, self-harm, stress management and workshops promoting positive mental health.
Our service provision encompasses home visits throughout the Greater Shankill Area, providing compassionate support through listening ear sessions and delivering complementary therapy sessions to aid in the healing process.
