Our Services
Ormeau Centre
Based in Belfast city centre, the Ormeau Centre offers support to men and women (18+) experiencing homelessness. It operates an open, non-judgmental referral policy and is available 24 hours a day, 365 nights a year.
The Ormeau Centre is one of Extern’s oldest projects, having opened its doors shortly after the charity was founded in 1978
Our services include crisis intervention for individuals navigating intricate challenges, specialized accommodation for intravenous drug users and a robust referral system connecting individuals to various agencies, encompassing both statutory and voluntary bodies.
Our dedicated team is committed to creating a nurturing environment where each individual's unique needs are met with empathy, understanding, and personalised care.
Through collaborative efforts and a holistic approach, we strive to empower individuals to overcome challenges and achieve meaningful progress towards a more stable and fulfilling life.
Referrals to the Ormeau Centre are facilitated through the Northern Ireland Housing Executive, ensuring a seamless entry into our support network.
