Extern Homes provides safe and stable accommodation for people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness by offering a tenancy period of up to two years.
Over 95% of Extern Homes tenants have sustained or successfully moved on to permanent housing.
Central to our project is the indispensable support provided to tenants in maintaining their tenancy, a crucial step towards breaking the cycle of homelessness.
Our goal is to empower each tenant by facilitating access to essential services, enabling them to achieve positive outcomes and foster long-term stability.
As tenants progress and develop a stable history of successful tenancy, Extern Homes extends its support to facilitate their transition towards accessing more enduring housing solutions.
Extern Homes is part of Extern’s homelessness service offer and provides a housing led approach for service users in homelessness.
We identify tenants from our homelessness services and we also take nominations from external statutory and voluntary sector organisations.
This ensures the most vulnerable in our society are provided with an opportunity to build a sound tenancy history with the most relevant and appropriate support in place.
