Extern Barista Academy Shines at L'Arche Belfast Spring Fair

We were thrilled recently to have the talented refugees from the Extern Barista Academy serve delicious coffee at the L'Arche Belfast Spring Fair at Newtownbreda (St John's) Presbyterian Church Our Extern Barista Academy is more than just about coffee – it's about making a positive impact in our community.

Here are the three key objectives of our project:

  1. Increased Educational Attainment and Access to Employment: We provide valuable skills and training to empower our participants, enhancing their educational journey and paving the way for meaningful employment opportunities.
  2. Enhanced Integration and Changed Perceptions: Through initiatives like the Barista Academy, we promote integration and diversity, challenging stereotypes and fostering positive relationships within our community.
  3. Improved Well-being: Our programme aims to improve the well-being of our participants by offering purposeful engagement, social connections, and pathways to personal growth.

We would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Scott Shively, CEO of L'Arche, for taking the time to discuss our ongoing partnership with Extern. Your insights and collaboration are invaluable to our mission.
