For young people aged 11-25 needing help with health and wellbeing issues

Pieces Project - Belfast’s One Stop Shop

What is the Pieces Project? How can you help me?

If you are aged 11-25, living in Belfast, and needing support with any health and wellbeing issue, then Pieces is the project for you.

The Pieces Project is a drop-in One Stop Shop providing a safe environment to support your health and wellbeing. This means you can access help when you want to, without any need for an appointment.

We can help you with loads of different issues, including:

  • Mental & Emotional health - self-confidence, self-awareness, anxiety, self-harm, low mood, hidden harm & crisis support.
  • Wider personal & health issues - substance misuse, sexual health, healthy eating
  • Practical issues - training & employment, education & independent living skills
  • Social Welfare Support - housing, debt, money management, family support & parenting

How can I get in touch with Pieces?

  • You can drop-in and see us whenever you want between 9am-5pm Monday to Friday.
  • You can call us on 028 9032 5786.
  • You can WhatsApp us on 07483 428547 and we’ll get back to you.
  • You can email us at Christopher.Deconink@Extern.org
  • And we can arrange to see you in the evenings or weekends.
  • We also offer fun and interactive evening workshops where you can meet and talk to other young people and also learn new skills.
  • You can also be referred by your parent or guardian, teacher, GP or any other community, youth or social worker.

Where is the Pieces Project?

The Pieces Project is a safe, neutral, city centre-based hub, on the first floor of 5-7 Queen Street, Belfast, BT1 6EA (The Primark end of the street!)

Does Pieces help parents and carers too?

The Family Support Service works with families where there is a concern regarding parental behaviour.

Help can include:

  • Home Visits
  • Family care plans
  • Harm reduction programmes
  • Welfare support
  • Liaison with other agencies and professionals

Can I bring someone with me to my appointment?

Yes. You are more than welcome to bring a friend or family member with you.
Who you bring to the appointments is up to you. In some cases it may be appropriate for your family or carers to be involved. You will also have the opportunity to speak to staff on your own.

In confidence

Whatever you say to a member of staff will be confidential, unless they feel you or anyone else is in danger of being harmed. If this happens, your Pieces worker will talk to you about who they need to tell and what details will be shared. Young people have been trusting us for years and we’ve never let them down.
