Keyworker x 2 – Syrian Refugee Support Service

Belfast (TBC) (flexibility required to work in other locations regionally as required)

Full-time - 40 standard hours, Mon-Sun with increased need for flexibility
Salary: 
Grade 5 pt 3 (fixed point - £23,450) The post holder will not be subject to the next 2 x organisational increments.
Job Description: 

1.0 PURPOSE:
Key Workers are responsible for forming professional relationships with people and assist them to live more successfully within their local communities by helping them find solutions to their problems. You will be responsible for liaising with service users, their families and friends as well as working closely with other organisations including the police, statutory services, local authority departments, schools and the probation service.
2.0 Specific To Post
This post specifically involves providing professional assessment and support to people with complex needs to access and maintain tenancies in the community. Predominantly (but not exclusively) this post will involve supporting refugees arriving under the Syrian Vulnerable Resettlement Scheme. This post has a regional remit.
The post involves working intensively with people with mental health and physical health problems, addiction issues, learning disability, families and refugees etc. As key worker within the Refugee Support Service you will offer pragmatic and holistic assessment, care planning and structured on-going support to people who are resettling in NI and integrating into the community. The post involves working in partnership with service users in their home environment to ensure they can successfully maintain their own property and includes a wide range of practical assistance, social work intervention, advocacy and liaison with both statutory and voluntary agencies and the ability to assess, manage and work effectively with risk.
